Admin Setup

Everything on this page requires group admin rights. All of it is also reachable from /begin → Admin / Settings. You can run the configuration from a DM with the bot: it will ask which of your groups to configure.

Guided setup

/setup

In the group, posts the ⚙️ Set me up button (the same one the bot posts when it is added). Tapping it opens a private chat that walks you through admin rights, buy alerts, group link, raids, Heidrun Trending, identity and credits, one step at a time. In a private chat with the bot, /setup asks which of your groups to set up. See Quick Start.

/setlink https://t.me/yourgroup

The address we point at whenever your group is featured outside of it — a free ad slot won on the leaderboard, the trending feed. Public groups are picked up automatically from their @username; private groups have no public address, so an admin has to set one once (an invite link https://t.me/+… works).

Run /setlink with no argument to see the link currently on file and set it from a button. Also reachable from /begin → Admin → 🔗 Group Link.

Won a free ad slot?

If a prize is waiting on your link, setting it applies the prize immediately. Unclaimed prizes expire after 7 days.

/votes_config

Set the vote links (listing sites, ranking pages) that /votes posts for your members.

Watermark

Generated media carries a watermark by default. One-time unlocks per group:

  • No watermark — 100 credits
  • Custom watermark (your own logo) — 200 credits

Meme identity

  • /config_meme — set the group's meme style and base prompt used by /meme.
  • Custom meme commands — create branded commands like /heidrun from /begin → Settings. See Memes & Images.
  • Toggle /meme on/off for the group from Settings.

Raids

/smash_config, /smash_time and /smash_auto — see Smash Raids.

Announcements

/broadcast posts a message in every group the bot is in. /broadcast_dm sends it in private to users instead. Both show a preview and require a confirmation before anything goes out.

Users can stop private announcements with /news_off (and /news_on to get them back); the line is appended to every DM automatically.

A DM the user never asked for is one tap from “Report spam”

Telegram can limit a bot that gets reported, which would take the groups down with it. Keep it to real announcements, not every change. Users who never opened a private chat with the bot simply can't be reached — they are recorded as unreachable on the first attempt and skipped afterwards.

Once a day, at 12:00 UTC, the bot posts a Heidrun Trending card in the group: the top 3 projects, the prize list, a link to the Trending room and a button to play. The /vote invite (spin button + standings link) is also posted three times a day, at 11:00, 17:00 and 23:00 UTC.

Groups that aren't projects (communities, hubs, chat groups) can opt out of both:

/trending_off     (in the group — any admin of that group)
/trending_on      (bring it back)

Switching a group off from somewhere else

Heidrun admins can pass a chat id instead of running the command inside the group: /trending_off -1002449920980. Useful to set several groups at once without leaving a confirmation message in each one.

Competitions

/challenge (meme challenge) and /tournament (game tournament) are admin-only, /endchallenge stops the running one — see Games & XP.

For meme challenges the bot must be an administrator of the group: Telegram only delivers reaction updates to admins, and reactions are how members vote.
