Heidrun Spin — /vote
/vote is the group game: you spin a wheel in private, and every spin scores
points for the group you spin for. Groups compete in the Heidrun Trending
standings, and the top ones win prizes.
How to play
- In your group, type
/vote. The bot posts a button. - Tap it — it opens the bot in private and ties you to that group.
- Spin. The wheel lands on one of eight sections: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 or 15 points, all equally likely.
- Those points go to your group's total.
One spin every 3 hours, per group. If you're in several communities, you spin for each of them — the limit is per group, not per player.
You must be in the Heidrun Trending group
The results live there, and membership is checked on every spin. Not a member? The bot hands you the link.
Standings and prizes
The spin standings are posted in the
Heidrun Trending room every 5 minutes, and a
recap goes out in every group once a day at 12:00 UTC. The /vote invite is also
posted in every group three times a day (11:00, 17:00 and 23:00 UTC). After each
spin, the bot shows your group's points and rank for today and for the week, with
a link to the standings. (/scoreboard is for tournaments, not for the wheel.)
| When | The top group wins |
|---|---|
| Every day | 1 day of free ads on the bot |
| Every week | 1 week of free ads |
| Every 2 weeks | 100 credits for the group |
| Every month | A free AMA |
The bot applies the first three itself and announces the winner both in the Trending room and in the winning group.
Group admins can stop the daily recap with /trending_off — see
Admin Setup.
Competitions
Two kinds of competition can run in a group: a meme challenge, judged by the group's reactions, and a game tournament, judged by scores. Both are started by an admin, run for a chosen duration, and announce their own winners.
One of each can be active at a time, so a meme challenge and a tournament can run side by side.
Meme challenge
/challenge <theme> [Xh] [| prize]
/challenge Viking at the office
/challenge Viking at the office 48h
/challenge Viking at the office 48h | 100 tokens
The theme is the only required part. Xh sets the duration (24h by default)
and anything after | is announced as the prize — the bot does not distribute it,
it just displays it.
The bot posts and pins the announcement, then:
- every meme generated in the group during the challenge is entered automatically — only memes made with the bot count;
- members vote by reacting to an entry with any emoji;
- you cannot vote for your own meme, and removing your reaction removes your vote;
- a reminder goes out every hour with the time left.
At the end, the bot forwards the winning meme and posts the podium (top 3 by votes). Entries with zero votes are ignored, and if nobody voted at all, no winner is declared.
The bot must be an admin of the group
Telegram only sends reaction updates to administrators. If the bot is not an admin, entries are still collected but no vote is ever counted.
Game tournament
/tournament <game> [Xh] [| prize]
/tournament climb
/tournament climb 24h | 100 tokens
Playable games: climb, axe, mead, graze, sail, turtle, bow, pacman,
saiyan_game, saiyan_bomb, saiyan_spirit, saiyan_beamclash.
Everyone plays with the usual command (/climb, /axe…) and only the scores made
in this group during the tournament window are counted — each player is ranked
on their best score, so playing more often doesn't stack.
/scoreboard (or /standings) shows the live top 10 and the time remaining, and the
same board is auto-posted every hour. The final podium is announced and pinned when
time runs out.
Ending early
/endchallenge
Admin only. Ends the active competition immediately and announces the results as if the timer had run out. A competition also survives a bot restart — its timer is picked back up automatically.
